Work package 2 - Transnational project management

Duration: 11/2002 – 10/2006
Work package 2 includes the overall coordination
of all project partners and external experts on scientific and administrative
levels. The lead partner is responsible for these tasks and carries
the overall responsibility for all other project partners with regard
to the EU.

The lead partner ensures that all involved parties respect budget
plans and timelines and that the project is implemented with all
its work packages. The lead partner guarantees communication and
understanding within the project group. The lead partner works in
close collaboration with the responsibles of the work packages who
determine the details of implementation work flows in accordance
with the project leadership. Beyond this, the lead partner fulfils
the administrative obligations defined by the regulating institutions
of the EU.
The project partners support the lead partner by providing all
required documents and information (see work package 3). The Alpine
Network of Protected Areas delivers important services to the
entire project group by the translation of conferences and documents
as well as by the mediation between alpine cultures.
